How to use the stuck pixel fixer

  1. Check the dot first

Use the dead pixel test to compare solid colors. A black dot on every bright background may be a dead pixel, which this tool cannot repair.

  2. Read the warning

The tool flashes a small area. If you are sensitive to flashing light, cancel the warning and do not use this mode.

  3. Position the square

After confirming, drag the 100 px square onto the stuck dot. Adjust its size from 50 to 150 px, or focus it and use the arrow keys.

  4. Stop and inspect

Press Stop or Esc at any time. The session ends after ten minutes. Switching tabs pauses flashing; returning does not resume it automatically.

Can you fix
dead pixels?

A dead pixel fixer cannot restore a physically failed pixel. This stuck pixel fixer is a limited experiment for a subpixel that remains one color; recovery is uncertain.

Do not press, rub, heat, or tap the screen. If the defect remains, check the seller’s return terms and the manufacturer’s pixel policy. Coverage varies; keep a record of what you see on solid colors.

Stuck pixel fixer FAQ.

Can a stuck pixel fixer repair dead pixels?

No. A dead pixel caused by hardware failure cannot be repaired by a browser or color cycling. This tool may help some stuck subpixels, but there is no guaranteed result.

How long should I run the stuck pixel fixer?

Each session stops after ten minutes. You can stop sooner using Stop or Escape. Inspect the area again with solid colors afterward; repeated sessions do not guarantee recovery.

Does the tool flash the whole screen?

No. Only a movable square flashes. It starts at 100 by 100 CSS pixels and can be adjusted from 50 to 150 pixels. Flashing requires you to acknowledge the warning first.

What happens when I switch tabs?

Flashing pauses when the tab is hidden and stays paused when you return. The ten-minute session deadline continues; choose Resume only if time remains and you want to continue.

What should I do if the pixel stays stuck?

Stop the experiment and check the seller’s return terms or the display manufacturer’s pixel policy. Do not press, rub, or heat the panel. Warranty coverage depends on the product and policy.

Flashing content warning

Before you start.

This tool rapidly flashes a small square of color. Flashing content can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy and may cause discomfort.

Do not use it if you are sensitive to flashing light. Stop immediately if you feel unwell. It may help stuck subpixels, but cannot repair dead pixels or guarantee a result.

The square is movable, never full screen, and stops after 10 minutes. Switching tabs pauses it.
